Division of Social Environment and Information Research

The spread of information-media technology is having a significant impact upon the social environment by changing the way we communicate and by promoting the globalization of economic society. It has also given rise to a number of issues that need to be resolved, such as financial transactions and the protection of personal information on the Internet.

This research division analyzes the interactions between the progression of IT and changes to social environments; researches the creation of systems to assess social structural problems predictively and methods for their resolution; and investigates the application of management and policymaking thereto.
