Division of Artificial Environment and Information Research

Based on statistical data (information) on material recycling and expenditure from artificial environments, the division, in addition to pursuing methods for studying global environmental impact, performs R&D on artificial environments by integrating knowledge (information) derived from natural environments and using: techniques for mitigating human impact upon the environment; scientific technology for the design, planning, construction and operation of safe and comfortable future artificial environmental systems enabling humans to live in a dignified and meaningful manner; and low eco-burden substances, energy supplies, recycling, utilization, systems, virtual environment formation, multimedia information and other diverse information systems for the support thereof.
